Contraception Awareness for Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority Women - BHA launch a new resource for BAME women
About this eventBHA for Equality launch a new co-produced contraceptive choices resource for Black, Asian, and Minoritised Ethnic women.
Access to information on contraception is key to support women make positive choices about their sexual health and reduce health inequalities.
A comprehensive booklet and 4 videos have been designed to reflect Black, Asian and Ethnic Women's, information needs. The resources were developed taking into consideration the beliefs, concerns, cultural and religious perspectives of BAME women explored in different focus groups.
The contraception awareness booklet for BAME women is available in English, French and Arabic.
The resource was funded by Manchester City Council and Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership.
